How do you use my data? 

• When you create and log into your account, we will collect your name, email address, phone number, address, proof of identity, company name and address (if applicable) and your payment details. We collect this in order to take steps to enter into a contract with you and to make sure you are eligible to enter our competitions and our membership schemes.  

• Where you enter a competition we are running, we will collect your name, email address, postal address and any other personal data that forms a part of the competition entry (this may differ depending on the competition). We do this to ensure that our contractual obligations with you are met. 

• Publicise the entrants’ name during a live draw, we will collect your first name and entry number as it is in our legitimate interests to publish the names of our entrants for the purposes of transparency to ensure that our competitions are run fairly. The winner will have their full name published on enquiry as it is in our legitimate interests to publish the names of our winners for the purposes of transparency.  

• When you win and we publicise your photo as a winner, we will collect your name and photo only with your consent. 

• When you send us your entry into a competition by post, we will collect your name, email address, phone number, address. We will collect this in order to take steps to enter into a contract with you and allow you to enter into our competitions. Please note that you will need to have created an account with us to enter into our competitions.  

• To send you marketing information. Where you have previously expressed an interest in our services (and not opted out of marketing) we will use your name and email address to send you updates because it is in our legitimate interests to promote our other products and services we think you might be interested in. 

Where you are a new customer and have opted in via our website to receive updates on our products and services including offers, promotions and new options, we will process your personal data to provide you these updates in line with the preferences you have provided and will only use your personal data in this way with your consent. 

You can withdraw your consent to marketing at any time by contacting us at [email protected] or, where relevant, by following the unsubscribe link in any marketing communication you receive from us. 

• To send you marketing information via SMS and the Meta Apps (as defined below) we will collect your name and phone number to promote our other products and services we think you might be interested in. We will send you SMS marketing via SMS or the Meta Apps only with your consent. 

• When you contact us, either by phone, email, via our ‘contact us’ page or via social media, we will usually collect your name, social media handle and contact details, because it’s in our legitimate interest to make sure we can properly respond to your query. 

• When you use our website and consent to our use of cookies, we will collect information about how you use our website. We may use your personal data contained within this information to improve our website and to better understand how people use it. More details on the information we collect and how we do this is set out in our Cookie Policy. 

• When you apply for a job with us, we will collect your name, contact details, recruitment information (e.g. right to work documentation and references), test results, qualifications, accreditations and any additional personal data we may receive from our recruitment partners.  

We will use your personal data to assess your suitability for our available roles. We do this to perform our contract obligations or to take steps at your request, before entering into a contract. Where we process your right to work documentation, we will do so to comply with our legal obligations. 

• If our business is sold. We process your personal data for this purpose because we have a legitimate interest to ensure our business can be continued by the buyer. If you object to our use of your personal data in this way, the buyer of our business may not be able to provide services to you. 

We will only use your personal data for the purposes for which we collected it, unless we reasonably consider that we need to use it for another reason and that reason is compatible with the original purpose. If you wish to receive an explanation as to how the processing for the new purpose is compatible with the original purpose, please contact us using the details provided at the beginning of this Privacy Notice. 

If we need to use your personal data for an unrelated purpose, we will notify you and we will explain the legal basis which allows us to do so (unless we are not able to do so under applicable laws).  

When you use our Facebook Page or contact us through Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp or Instagram 

When you use our Facebook page (our “Facebook Page“), use Facebook messenger, or interact on our WhatsApp Channels or Instagram (together, our “Meta Apps“) we and Meta Platforms, Inc of 1601 Willow Road, Menlo Park, CA 94025, US (“Meta“) collect information about you. This includes: 

• Details of your activity on our Meta Apps, such as how long you spend on it and the date and time you visit it and what you view. We process this for our legitimate interests in studying how individuals interact with us on our Meta Apps and to inform our marketing strategies. 

• Details of what you say and how you interact with our Meta Apps, including in comments and your reactions to posts. We process this for our legitimate interests in understanding how individuals interact with our services and to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations. 

• Details of your device, internet connection, and region (but not your precise location unless you have yourself provided this in your own Facebook or Instagram user profile). We process this information to keep our Facebook Page updated and relevant and ensure that its content is presented in the most effective manner for you and for your device, to develop our business, to keep our records updated, and to study how individuals interact with our Meta Apps. 

Meta is a ‘joint controller’ with us in law for processing this particular information about you. We have access to this information to use for reporting, insights, and marketing purposes and so does Meta. We may also see this information if you have communicated with us on our Meta Apps, so that we know who we’re speaking with. 

We and Meta have agreed by way of its UK Controller Addendum to share certain responsibilities to protect this information by making sure we each have a legal basis for joint processing, by honouring your legal rights in respect of your personal data, and for ensuring security of joint processing. Further details about how we do this are available on request. Please note that Meta will be responsible in respect of your Data Subject Rights (as defined below) with regard to your personal data that it stores after the joint processing. Keeping your personal information up to date 

If any of your personal data (such as your contact details) changes, please ensure that you let us know so that the information we have about you is kept up to date. 

Do we process children’s data? 

No, we do not. This website is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect data relating to children. If you are aware that any information of anyone under the legal age of majority has been shared with us or using this website, please let us know by emailing [email protected] so that we can delete that data. 

Who do you share my data with? 

• Business partners, suppliers and subcontractors for the performance of the contract we enter into with them or you.  

• Delivery providers and logistics companies for the performance of the contract we entered into with you to deliver the products you win from our competitions. 

• Other participants when you win will see your name if you win our competition.  

• Promotional events and marketing organisations. We do not sell data for marketing purposes but may share your data with a collaboration brand including where we offer a promotion alongside a partner brand. We will always tell you before and you will be given the chance to opt-out before we do this. 

• Regulators/Authorities/Enforcement Agencies. If we are under a duty to disclose or share your personal data in order to comply with any legal obligation, or in order to enforce or apply our Competition Terms & Conditions, Terms of Use, and our other agreements with you; or to protect our, our customers’ and others’ rights. This includes exchanging your personal data with other companies and organisations for the purposes of fraud protection. 

• Prospective buyers of our business under our legitimate interest to ensure our business can be continued by the buyer. 

• Other Facebook Users will see your name when you post and interact with our Facebook Page and/or, if you win one of our competitions, when we announce the names of the winner(s) of that competition on our Facebook Page. 

Where do you store my data? 

We store your data on third party servers which are based both in the UK and outside of the UK. When working with third parties we may need to transfer your personal data outside of the UK. 

Whenever we transfer your personal data outside of the UK, we ensure it receives additional protection as required by law. To keep this Privacy Notice as short and easy to understand as possible, we haven’t set out the specific circumstances when each of these protection measures are used. We have procedures in place to deal with any suspected data security breach. We will notify you and any applicable regulator of a suspected data security breach where we are legally required to do so.

How long do you keep my data for? 

We will retain your information for as long as you have an account registered with us.  

If you delete your account or request us to do so, we will only retain your personal data for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, regulatory, tax, accounting, or reporting requirements.  

To determine the appropriate retention period for personal data, we consider the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the personal data, the potential risk of harm from unauthorised use or disclosure of your personal data, the purposes for which we process your personal data and whether we can achieve those purposes through other means, and the applicable legal, regulatory, tax, accounting or other requirements.
